What to Expect

Consultation

Dr. Etemadi takes time to truly understand your health history, current symptoms, and goals — not a rushed 5-minute intake.

Examination

A thorough orthopedic and neurological exam identifies the source of your pain and how your spine and nervous system are functioning.

X-Rays

For chiropractic visits, digital X-rays are included as part of your first appointment. For Softwave TRT or Spinal Decompression, X-rays are taken at the doctor's discretion — if previous imaging (MRI, CT, or X-rays) is already available, that will be reviewed first.

First Treatment

Relief & Recovery Special ($69): Includes your first Softwave TRT or Spinal Decompression session. Chiropractic adjustments are not part of this special.

Chiropractic first visit: Includes the consultation, exam, chiropractic adjustment, and passive therapies (traction & EMS). Billed through BCBS, Aetna, or UHC — or $150 self-pay including X-rays.

What to Bring to Your First Appointment

  • 🏥   Insurance card(s) — health or auto
  • 📷   Any previous imaging: MRI, CT scan, or X-rays
  • 💊   List of current medications and supplements
  • 📄   Previous medical records related to your condition (if available)
  • 📝   Notes on your symptoms: when they started, what makes them better or worse

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your appointment to complete new patient paperwork. You can also call ahead to receive forms by email.

Understanding What Your $69 Special Covers

The $69 Relief & Recovery Special covers Softwave TRT or Spinal Decompression only. It includes your consultation, comprehensive exam, and your first therapy session. It does not include a chiropractic adjustment.

Want to add chiropractic care?

  • With insurance (BCBS, Aetna, UHC): We accept all three major carriers for chiropractic adjustments. We'll verify your benefits before your visit — your out-of-pocket cost depends on your individual plan.
  • Without insurance (self-pay): Your first visit with chiropractic care is $150, which includes the consultation, exam, X-rays, and a chiropractic adjustment. No hidden fees.

Note: Softwave TRT and Spinal Decompression are self-pay services — insurance does not currently cover them. Affordable flat-rate packages are available; call us to discuss.

New Patient Questions

How long will my first appointment take?
Plan for approximately 60–90 minutes for your first visit. This includes the consultation, exam, X-rays, and your first treatment session. Follow-up visits are typically 30–45 minutes.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed to see Dr. Etemadi. You can call us directly at (832) 995-7832 or use the form on this page to request an appointment.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best. If you have back or hip issues, athletic shorts or pants are ideal. Avoid wearing a belt if possible. You'll remain fully clothed during your examination and treatment.
Can I bring my children?
Of course — Dr. Etemadi treats patients of all ages, including children and teens. If you'd like to schedule pediatric care for your child, please let the front desk know when booking so they can allocate appropriate time.
